Overview

Amenities: Comerica is a nice park. The seats are comfortable.
The food is pretty good. The scoreboard is large, although partially obstructed by the left field corner upper deck from some
seats. The lower concouse is nice, but if your seats are low, you have quite a hike to get to and from the concourse. There
is a lot of space dedicated to a picnic area with folding chairs all the way around the infield. None of the seats are too
elevated in the upper deck, though.
History: Tiger Stadium was a great park, but Comerica is
a decent successor. Much scorned throughout its history, Comerica deserves much more credit as a nice park. Unfortunately,
the Tigers haven't been any good since they moved in.
Location: The views of downtown Detroit are nice, and almost
every seat has a view. Too bad this park is near a fairly bad area of downtown, although I hear it has improved with the opening
of Ford Field, home of the NFL Lions.
Atmosphere: Although Detroit is thought of as not having
many fans, attendance really hasn't been that bad through all the losing. Detroit has been a great baseball city, and it still
is. The fans that come are some of the more knowledgeable ones in the game.
Aesthetics: The exterior is awesome. Giant tigers adorn
the entrances. Inside, there is a merry go round, ferris wheel, and in center, there are water-fireworks (water shot into
the air). The structure of Comerica is very nice, and it is done remarkably well aesthetically. In center, plants cover the
brick wall, and the architects did a great job making sure the city would be visible from inside the park.
Worst seat
Section 147-150 Since the Tigers put in a new outfield wall 20
feet closer to the infield, fans in the left field bleachers must look over 20 feet of dead space beyond the wall.
